Park City

Park City is an active, growing four-season resort community with several advantages that make it an attractive place to stay. Situated within a beautiful mountain range about a 30 minute drive from Salt Lake City and the International Airport, Park City offers travelers going on Utah vacations and holiday summer and winter activities with its many nature and ski resorts. The city has many upscale luxury retailers, clubs, bars, and restaurants, as well as nearby national parks with hiking and biking trails.

 

The area offers three major world-class ski resorts: Park City, Deer Valley, and The Canyons. Choose a vacation near any of Park City's local attactions that offers quiet comfort while making the most of the beautiful ski areas at affordably priced rates.

 

There are seven major ski resorts in the Park City and Salt Lake City area of Utah. There are three resorts near around Park City, including Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, and The Canyons.

 

Salt Lake City

Two more resorts, Solitude Mountain and Brighton, are located together between Park City and Salt Lake City, about seven miles from Park City. Snowbird and Alta Ski Resorts are located together even closer to Salt Lake City, and are frequently combined by ski magazines when ranking areas. All of these ski resorts are located about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City Airport.

 

Downtown is truly the heart of Salt Lake City, with major points of interest including the State Capitol and Temple Square, which includes important Mormon buildings like the Tabernacle.

 

Sundance Film Festival

The Festival takes places during January at the Sundance Resort, in Park City, Salt Lake City and Ogden, Utah. It is the largest independent film festival in the United States where new films are showcased every year.

 

The Sundance Mountain Resort is located 13 miles northeast of Provo, Utah. It spans over 5000 acres on the slopes of  Mount Timpanogos in Utah's Wasatch Range. The resort was acquired by Actor Robert Redford in 1969 and was established into a year-round resort which would later spawned the independent Sundance Film Festival.
