A professional property manager is hired by the rental home owner to oversee the daily responsibilities connected with the rental property. The rental manager will be the only contact for the renter, and will collect the deposit upon reserving the rental home, and the balance upon arrival in exchange for the keys to the home.

 

The rental property manager is also responsible for ensuring that the rental home is cleaned and prepared for your arrival. This may include such details as arranging for pool or hot tub cleaning, making sure that televisions and other electronics are working, and that air conditioning and electricity are functioning.

 

The rental manager is usually familiar with the area and may be able to recommend local businesses or restaurants, as well as local attractions that may not be well advertised.  The rental manager may be able to tell you which ski resort offers discounted lift tickets, or which beach is less crowded. The rental manager is also available to resolve any issues you may have about the property, including replacing or repairing any equipment in the home that is found to be broken upon arrival.
